Paul Mitchell School Cofounders John Paul DeJoria and Winn Claybaugh have personally attended every school’s grand opening, and the three latest were no exception to the rule. Their first stop on the April 2009 tour was the Vision – A Paul Mitchell Partner School in Ambler, Pennsylvania, where they were greeted by school owner Truc Do. Next was Rudy and Kelly – A Paul Mitchell Partner School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where they were met in a limo by the three Core Future Professionals who raised the most money for the 2009 Magic of Memories charitable campaign. Then it was on to Kansas for the grand opening of the new Paul Mitchell School in Wichita.

“As exciting as it is to be on John Paul’s private jet, spend personal time with the school owners who join us as guests, and have hundreds if not thousands of people show up at each school, our grand opening tours take me back to why I entered the beauty industry 25 years ago and why I’m just as passionate today,” Winn said. “It’s because I get to hang out with Future Professionals. To walk into these schools and see the hope in their eyes and feel the passion in their conversations is why John Paul, Angus Mitchell, and I became partners in the school business.
